This Blue Ox trailer hitch receiver gives you solid towing power for everyday use. With a Class III rating, it handles up to 4,500 lbs of gross trailer weight and 675 lbs of tongue weight, so it’s ready for small trailers, cargo carriers, or bike racks. The 2" x 2" receiver opening works with most standard hitch accessories, letting you carry your gear without extra adapters or hassle.
You won’t have to worry about rust or chips over time. The fully welded hitch is finished with a textured black powder coat layered over an e-coat for superior corrosion resistance. This finish not only protects the steel but also gives it a clean, factory look under the bumper that stays looking sharp even after plenty of use on the road.
Installing this hitch doesn’t mean breaking out a welder or making modifications. It’s designed to bolt directly to your vehicle’s frame with precision alignment for a clean fit. The complete hardware kit and installation instructions are included to make the job straightforward for DIYers using basic tools in the driveway.
A welded mounting bracket gives you a convenient place to attach your trailer plug without extra clamps or zip ties. It keeps your wiring organized and accessible, helping maintain a clean setup behind your vehicle when you’re towing or connecting accessories.

Perfect fit, easy installation.
First off. Box was all taped together. Did I get something that was returned? There were some small scrapes on the metal and the staples that held the box together, weren’t holding the box together. The tape was.
Second. I watched the video. The pre existing hole that they pull the bolt through before it wiggles down and is pulled through the second pre existing hole is too small. Let me repeat that. The first pre existing hole that the bolt goes through is TOO SMALL!!! The head of the bolt is too big. It does not fit.
Now I have to bring the bolts through the back. A place where you cannot get your hands into.
I did manage to pull two bolts through and attach them to the front existing holes. I cannot get the rear bolts pulled through to the second pre existing holes.
I spent several hours trying and trying. I gave up. My patience was exhausted. I will need to take it somewhere and have the installation finished.
Did anyone check to see if these bolt heads actually fit through the holes. I’m guessing no!
Easy to install and fit perfect.
The product installed well. The box was severely damaged in shipping for the hitch and some scuffs in the paint. It was fortunate that the hardware didn't fall out of the package.
Heavy duty hitch and looks great
The hitch fit great and looks great. If a disabled vet @ 81 can do it anyone can. Years ago, would finish in time said, but took 2x as long this time. Fourth time putting a hitch on something.

Thank you for your service George! Way to get the job done too, it looks great! You know what they say, you can't rush perfection :)
heavy duty ! works well for my e-bikes and also to pull my utility trailer
First, I’ve had great service and experiences lever the years ordering from etrailer. This order though was a bit challenging. The instructions that came in the box was for installing on a smart car which didn’t help me at all so I had no awareness that the holes in the 2026 Chevy Trax would need to be slightly enlarged to fit the bolts in. It was a little more difficult and took more time than expected but I was able to get the hitch installed. It might be good to update the description and add a note that some holes may need to be enlarged slightly. Overall though, another good product from a great company.

It sounds like the box might have been damaged in transport, and attempts were made to retape the box. At the end of step 1 in the instructions, Blue Ox states that you might need to use a die grinder (Dremel tool) to ream out or enlarge the bolt holes.
